Thinking of eloping in Portland Oregon? Elopement weddings are welcome, although in most cases there is a three day waiting period after you have purchased your Oregon marriage license or Washington marriage license from the county.
State of Washington elopement weddings (military, etc.) or Oregon eloping couples, call me if you have an urgent need to marry. It is possible to purchase a waiver and have your Oregon marriage license effective immediately.

This is intended to be a partial example only. Most people know what a religious wedding ceremony is like, so this is an example of a non-religious, non-traditional wedding ceremony. The possibilities are endless, and I will have many suggestions for you to consider, in personalizing your wedding ceremony to the words that best say what's in your hearts.
***We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best wishes to the words which will unite ______ in marriage. Let this be a day of gladness, thanksgiving, possibility, and great good fortune for ______, who are coming together to demonstrate the wonder of love through their wedding celebration. We who are witnessing your marriage, hope that despite the stresses inevitable in any life, your love and respect for each other, and your trust and understanding of each other, will increase your contentment and increase your joy in living.
Marriage is a very special place, the sheltered environment in which we can learn and grow as individuals, with the support, love and companionship of that other very special person who has made the commitment and promise to share life's journey.
We are here today, not only to witness your commitment to each other, ______, but also to wish you every happiness in your future life as a couple. Within its framework of commitment and loyalty, marriage enables the establishment of a home, where through trust, patience and respect, the love and affection that you have for each other may continue to develop and deepen in the years to come.

HELPFUL WEDDING PLANNING INFORMATION
Fees: The elopement wedding ceremony at my office or nearby park is $195. Other wedding ceremonies, other locations, start at $275.
You must purchase your marriage license in the state where you will be married, not the state where you live. Within the state, you may purchase your license from any county and use it anywhere in the state.
